How much time does your home take, and how is it split?
Five minutes, together or alone. Estimate a week of chores and who does them: the calculator tells you how many hours your home takes, how you split them today and what a fair split would be based on each person's free time.

How the calculation works
- Hours of housework. The sum of the weekly minutes you enter, divided by 60.
- Who does it today. Each chore counts for whoever does it: “always” is 100%, “mostly” 75%, “half” 50%.
- Fair split. Each person has 112 waking hours a week (168 minus 8 hours of sleep a night). We subtract paid work and commuting: the fair share is proportional to the free time left.
- Who keeps track. Six questions on mental load: who notices, remembers, plans. It isn't counted in hours because it can't be measured in minutes, but it matters.
It's an estimate, not a verdict: it doesn't account for effort, health, personal preferences or caring for other relatives. It's there so you can talk with a number in front of you instead of from memory.
